The remaining section of storm sewer along the north side of Long Lake Road is complete and the road is now reopened to traffic. The final layer of bituminous pavement if scheduled to be placed on all roads the week of 8/26. Restoration of yards will be occurring over the next several weeks. Once new sod is placed, the contractor is responsible for watering for 30 days. After 30 days, it becomes the property owner’s responsibly to water.
Please note that prior to placing the final layer of pavement, oil is applied to the road to ensure a good bond between the 1st and 2nd layers of pavement. Please do not drive on the roads once the oil is applied. The oil can stick to your tires and will track onto your driveway.
As work progresses, please remember to avoid parking on streets under construction and take alternate routes to avoid construction zones when possible.
