Mahtomedi encourages its businesses to recycle! BizRecycling (PDF) is a program sponsored by the Ramsey/Washington Recycling and Energy Board. It provides free resources and assistance to businesses that want to start or enhance programs for reducing waste, recycling items such as paper, bottles, cans and/or diverting food and other organic waste. Electronics Recycling

Did you know? TVs and monitors are banned from being put in the trash in Minnesota due to the hazardous materials they contain. Washington County is now offering free electronics recycling for Washington County residents.

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Disposal

Washington County offers a year-round HHW disposal site located in Woodbury! This site accepts many household hazardous waste items including used motor oil and filters. We encourage our residents to bring in their hazardous waste to this site rather than pollute the environment.
