Stormwater Guidelines

You can make a difference!

  • Keep streets, gutters, and storm drains clean - never use them for dumping
  • Compost yard waste
  • Wash vehicles at the car wash or on your yard
  • Clean up after your pets
  • If you live on the shoreline, plant a buffer of native vegetation
  • Garden for water quality:
    • Use a rain barrel
    • Plant a rain garden
    • Minimize the use of fertilizers and herbicides
