The City’s contractor, Meyer Contracting, will begin construction activities on Monday, May 11th. The contractor will start with tree removals on Birchwood Road necessary for the construction of the trail, installing erosion control, and relocating mail boxes. Pavement removal on Birchwood Road and Lost Lake Court will also begin late next week. The contractor has indicated that they will be working on Saturday, May 16th weather depending. Birchwood Road will be posted for no through traffic starting Monday, May 11th. Residents will be still be able to travel to and from homes during this time although there could be minor delays. Please follow the direction of the on-site workers when navigating through the closed portions of the roadway.

During construction, an on-site representative will be present on site each day who will be your first point of contact and fastest way to get an answer for all questions regarding construction. Newsletters will be mailed out every other week and posted on the City’s website as the project progresses to inform property owners of the progress and upcoming construction schedule.
Construction working hours within the City of Mahtomedi are 7am-7pm during weekdays and 8am-5pm on Saturdays. Work is not permitted on Sundays or holidays.
