[ARCHIVED] May 7, 2020 Phase 4 West Historic District Project Update

2020 Phase 4 West Construction Update Sign May 7, 2020 (IMAGE)

As part of the Phase 4 West - Historic District Improvements, traffic will be detoured around TH 244 / Mahtomedi Avenue starting on May 13th. The duration of the detour is subject to the speed at which the work is completed. Please see the included map for more information. You will still be able to travel to and from your homes during this time. Please just follow the direction of the on-site workers when navigating through the closed portions of the roadway.

This detour is needed for the contractor to safely replace watermain valves. Because of this, you will likely experience periods of time without water. These water shut-downs are only allowed between 8 am and 3 pm and you will receive a door hanger at your house at least one day before you will be affected.

The gate valve replacement work is replacing infrastructure from the 1930’s. While this may be a temporary inconvenience, please understand that these are necessary improvements and will result in a more resilient water distribution system.

If you have any questions, please call or text James Collingsworth at 612-219-8082.
