Story Stroll at Oakdale Discovery Center
Monday, Jan. 4 – Friday, Jan. 15
Join us at Oakdale Discovery Center (4444 Hadley Avenue N, Oakdale, MN 55128) for a Story Stroll! The title this month is Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats. Walk and read along as you complete the story! All ages are welcome. No registration required.

The Washington County Law Library provides monthly Family Legal Advice Clinics. Get a free half hour consultation with a local volunteer attorney covering a range of topics such as marriage dissolution, child support, domestic abuse, paternity issues, child custody, visitation, spousal maintenance, name change, etc. All Legal Advice Clinics are currently being held over the phone. Virtual Minnesota Author Series: Allen Eskins
Tuesday, Jan. 12 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Join us for our Minnesota author series, Write in Our Midst, to meet crime novelist Allen Eskins. Allen’s most recent novel, Nothing More Dangerous, was twenty years in the making. A prequel to his other books, this is the story of Boady Sanden’s adolescence in small town Missouri. Allen will speak about his work and answer audience questions. This program is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

She is the author of four books for adults and four books for children, and is a three time Minnesota Book Award winner. Her most recent title, A Map into the World, is a children’s book about discovery and loss. Kalia will discuss her work and answer audience questions. Hey teens, let's get together and play online games like Jackbox, Board Game Arena, and Among Us! Players will need a computer or other device with an internet connection and Zoom. For ages 11-17. Registration is required. 

Virtual: Downsizing and Decluttering
Thursday, Jan. 21 from 1 to 2 p.m.
Join us for Downsizing and Decluttering, a free, virtual program with AARP Minnesota. Having too much stuff can impede people from relocating or getting health care into their homes. This engaging presentation explores why stuff is so important for some people and teaches practical, easy-to-follow tips on downsizing and decluttering. Registration is required.
