Posted on: August 11, 2022[ARCHIVED] MN DNR - Drought Watch Phase

The Twin Cities have entered a drought watch according to the Minnesota DNR.
Residents are asked to please remember to practice an odd/even schedule & NO WATERING from 11 AM to 6 PM. This means even-numbered addresses can water on even-numbered days, and odd-numbered addresses can water on odd-numbered days. Odd/even watering practices ensure there is enough water to Maintain System Pressures & Fire Emergencies. Thank you!

Let your grass catch a tan!
Central Minnesota, especially the Twin Cities, is currently experiencing a flash drought. The Twin Cities is down 6.5 inches of
rain since June 1. Help conserve water by allowing your grass to catch a tan and take a sprinkler break. To provide your lawn with one inch of water you use over half a gallon per square foot. That adds up to thousands of gallons every time you turn on your sprinkler. Don’t worry, established grass will be come back!
