Maintenance Operator
The City of Mahtomedi (pop. 7,800) is accepting applications for a full-time position of Maintenance Operator in the Public Works Department.
This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the City’s water, wastewater, storm sewer, streets, parks and open space, public facilities and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Employees will be cross-trained in a variety of different tasks. The successful candidate is required to have a High School diploma or GED and minimal experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, ability to operate various types of equipment, make minor repairs, knowledge of computer systems and mechanical equipment. Must possess and maintain valid commercial driver’s license with Class B air brake and tanker endorsement in the State of Minnesota. Must meet Department of Transportation drug and alcohol testing requirements. A Minnesota Class D Water License and Class S-D Wastewater License is preferred.
