[ARCHIVED] Winter Plowing: How Residents Can Help

Winter Plowing Residents Info (IMAGE)

With the significant snowfall expected OVERNIGHT, Mahtomedi Public Works crews will be out on the road. Although our 1 AM to 7 AM overnight parking restriction ends at midnight, City Ordinance also prohibits on-street parking anytime three or more inches of snow has accumulated until after the street has been plowed to full width.    We would like to remind Mahtomedi residents how they can help our crews with plowing efforts.

• Be patient. Plowing takes time.
• Be prepared for winter driving and delays.
• Keep children away when snowplows are out.
Keep fire hydrants clear of snow.
• Do not place snow onto a City street.
• Give snowplows room to work and do not pass.
• Place trash containers behind the curb.
