May 15, 2023 Update - Juniper Street Reconstruction Project

The Juniper Street Reconstruction Project is about to begin! The City’s contractor, Miller Excavating, is planning to begin work within the project area the week of May 15th, weather permitting. The tasks to be completed the week of May 15th while the roadway remains open to traffic include installation of traffic control and erosion control devices.

Beginning the week of May 22nd, Juniper Street will be closed to through traffic to allow for construction of the roadway including the storm sewer. Juniper Street will continue to be closed to through traffic until the project reaches completion. It is recommended residents park on the adjacent paved street to avoid driving on un-paved and uneven surfaces. The work anticipated to begin the week of May 22nd includes:

Roadway Pavement Removals

Storm Sewer Installation

Please note that the schedule is subject to change. More detailed schedule information will be provided via email for those who have signed up for email updates.

It will be the project team’s goal to minimize the impact to residents and businesses during construction activities. As with all construction projects, patience and communication are the greatest assets to completing a successful project.
