June 12, 2023 Update - Juniper Street Reconstruction Project

The Contractor has completed installation of the new concrete curb and gutter and concrete driveway patches last week, week of June 5th.

Please note: The Contractor completed installation of the concrete curb and gutter and driveway patches on Thursday, June 8th.  The concrete cannot be driven on for 7 days for curing.  Residents will have access to their driveways by Thursday, June 15th.

Driveway Replacement

Homeowners who are considering hiring their own Contractor to replace their entire driveway or sidewalk, please contact Katie Koscielak to coordinate/schedule the work and discuss the reimbursement amount.

We ask that for those that will be replacing their driveways to schedule the work as soon as possible following roadway paving, scheduled for June 15th and/or 16th, weather permitting, as this will allow the Contractor to complete restoration behind the curb in a timely manner. If the replacement of your driveway is scheduled for later in the year, please contact Katie Koscielak to discuss schedule.

The Contractor will complete final grading of the roadway earlier in the week, the week of June 12th in preparation for paving on June 15th and/or 16th, weather permitting.  Individual door hangers will be provided to residents prior to paving operations confirming the paving date.

Please plan to park your vehicle on a street not currently under construction until access is available to your driveway.  The Contractor will be onsite completing final grading and restoration activities throughout the week.  The Contractor may not be on site working each day due to circumstances outside of their control.  In addition, the Contractor may not be on site to start the day but may be later in the day.

Please note: the above schedule is subject to change due to weather and circumstances outside of the Contractor’s control.

Please feel free to call Katie with questions. She will get back to you within 24-hours at a maximum. Generally, response times are much faster than 24-hours.

May 15, 2023 Update - Juniper Street Reconstruction Project

The Juniper Street Reconstruction Project is about to begin! The City’s contractor, Miller Excavating, is planning to begin work within the project area the week of May 15th, weather permitting. The tasks to be completed the week of May 15th while the roadway remains open to traffic include installation of traffic control and erosion control devices.

Beginning the week of May 22nd, Juniper Street will be closed to through traffic to allow for construction of the roadway including the storm sewer. Juniper Street will continue to be closed to through traffic until the project reaches completion. It is recommended residents park on the adjacent paved street to avoid driving on un-paved and uneven surfaces. The work anticipated to begin the week of May 22nd includes:

Roadway Pavement Removals

Storm Sewer Installation

Please note that the schedule is subject to change. More detailed schedule information will be provided via email for those who have signed up for email updates.
