About Our Speaker, Debbie Lonnee

Debbie has a B.S. in Horticulture from the U of M. She has worked at Bailey Nurseries for the last 25 years and is currently the Product Development Manager, responsible for Bailey’s new breeding farm in Georgia, working with breeders around the world and bringing new plants to Bailey brands.She is an avid gardener, a member of the Perennial Plant Assoc and current Past President of the MN Nursery & Landscape Association. She was recently honored for her years of service by being the first woman to be inducted into the MNLA Hall of Fame. Garden writing is her second job. She is the horticultural editor for Northern Gardener magazine, writes the ‘Plant to Pick’ article for each edition, as well as co-writing several books about growing shrubs, perennials and small trees in cold climates.

Mahtomedi Garden Club Presents New Plants for Northern Gardeners Annuals, Perennials, and Woody Plants for Zone 4

Wednesday, February 13th, 6 PM to 8:30 PM at Mahtomedi District Ed Center

Debbie will present new plants that work in northern gardens, from woody trees and shrubs, to perennials and annuals. Find out what breeders from around the world have developed that you can add to your garden. Join us for this special night out featuring refreshments, information, socializing, silent auction and a great speaker
