Project Overview
Washington County-in partnership with Willernie, Mahtomedi, and Grant-has been studying Stillwater Road/75th Street (also known as County Highway 12) since late 2016. The County has received valuable stakeholder input on existing transportation issues and corridor concepts at two public open houses (held in February and September of 2017). Public input guided the county in developing project goals and corridor concepts that align with issues, needs, and desired project outcomes. At the September 2017 open house, the project team shared intersection and roadway concepts considered to date and the evaluation of these concepts against study goals and performance measures.
A third public open house will be held on February 22, 2018. The project team will share the recommended Stillwater Rd/75th St concept. This concept includes intersection and roadway improvements between Wildwood Road/Mahtomedi Avenue and Ideal Avenue and a mill and overlay between Ideal Avenue and Jamaca Avenue (see the map below). These improvements will be constructed in two phases: in 2019 and 2021.
