1. Do dogs require licenses?

Dogs are required to have a license. Download the Dog License Application (PDF). A certificate of rabies vaccination is required. License your dog at Mahtomedi City Hall. Cats do not need to be licensed.

3. Where do I vote?

The City of Mahtomedi has two polling places.

• Precinct 1
  Precinct 1 (if you live north of Stillwater Road (County Road 12) / Birchwood Road is located at:
  District Education Center
  1520 Mahtomedi Avenue
  Mahtomedi, MN 55115
• Precinct 2
  Precinct 2 (if you live south of Stillwater Road / Highway 244) is located at:
  St. Andrew’s Church
  900 Stillwater Road
  Mahtomedi, MN 55115

Voting is upstairs in the Sanctuary. You can access the Sanctuary by either going north on East Avenue and taking the first right and parking in the back by the Sports Center or taking the second right and parking in the front parking lot. You can also get to the Sanctuary by turning into St. Andrews at the Hilton Trail stoplight and going on the driveway to the right of the Great Hall.

4. Where do I register to vote?

Voter's registration forms are available on Washington County's website or at Mahtomedi City Hall or online. You may also register on the day of an election at your polling place with proper identification.

5. What programs/rebates are available to help me save energy?

Xcel Energy offers a variety of programs and rebates for residents and businesses to help them save energy and money.

6. How do I report a street light outage?

If you have a flickering street light or a street light outage, contact Xcel Energy at 800-960-6235 or use their online reporting form.

7. What options do you offer for utility payments?

Mahtomedi accepts cash, personal checks, and credit card payments (Visa, Mastercard and Discover only). Payment options include the following:

• Online: Pay your utility bill online now!
• By phone: Call 877-885-7968 to pay your utility bill using credit or debit card or electronic payment from checking or savings.
• By mail: Send payment to:

• In person: Residents may use our drop off box located on the front of Mahtomedi City Hall or visit us during office hours, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
